The promise…

Isaiah 61.7

“Because your shame was double, and they cried out, “Disgrace is their portion,” therefore, they will possess double in their land, and eternal joy will be theirs.”

“Instead of your shame and confusion, A second time they sing of their portion, Therefore in their land A second time do they take possession, Joy age-during is for them.”

So now the command is, “Sing, you barren woman, even the one who never bore a child! Burst into song and shout for joy, even you who were never in labour! For the children of the desolate woman will be more than the children of her that is married,” says the LORD. Isaiah 54.1

…Dear one, to be able to walk in the promise you have been given, you will need to open your mouth and sing…

Even in the midst of your pain, your voice is required

So sing, even if you have to cry, singing

Sing his promises over you and dance

Sing out loud..

Sing the promise he gave you in night

Sing and the flowers will bloom in your land

The desert will become a spring of water; ever-flowing, and never-ending

So sing, dear one, sing….

Love letters

While I was away from home

I constantly opened my keepsake treasure box

It was filled with notes from a loving father

I read and reread the letters

The words were life and hope, love and promises

In this world where brokenness is known to every soul

I feasted on the beautiful delights  that lifted me into a realm of gold dust and stars

A realm of beauty and wonder

And when I would feel the darkness try to creep into my heart and mind

I would softly speak his love-words to me

So that my ears could hear what my mouth was speaking

Then I would hear the joyful laughter of my  heavenly father

And he would whisper back to me his heart-words

“I will never, never, never leave you, I will never, never, never forsake you…
